How Search Engine Optimization helped one Panama City Insurance Agency

Background:
St. Andrews Insurance of Panama City, Florida offers personal and commercial insurance to clients from Pensacola to Ft. Walton and beyond. The St. Andrews Insurance website had been built over a year before by a state insurance affiliation agency.  The site was poorly optimized and had no search engine rankings to speak of.

Challenge:
The most difficult part of this project was the inability to alter any of the code on the page due to it's restricted nature.  The site was developed and is controlled by a state-wide insurance affiliation agency. While functional, the site was not optimized in any way and was not built "search engine safe" or "search engine friendly".

SEO Strategy:
Over several weeks and months, Baybridge Idea Group optimized the site in the ways we were able to, such as adding footer navigation, additional pages for each location the client was serving, as well as changing some of the background code to remove redundancy in code as well as add META data and additional text.  We went after localized search terms like "panama city insurance" and "panama city auto insurance".   We also used a link-building strategy to generate inbound links to the site, thereby increasing the site's popularity and creating higher rankings.

Results:
The results of our work were noticeable almost immediately.  Before we could send a ranking report to the customer, he notified us that he had already received several "quote referrals" from the website, something that had happened rarely, if ever, before.  Take a look at the results below:
